Hello friends! I was going to post this tomorrow, but as soon as I got the photos edited, I knew I wanted to share them ASAP! This is the Zoya Awaken Collection for Spring 2014! This set is made up of three classic Zoya glass flecks, one metallic and two cremes. Zoya Monet is a glitter topper that has been released along side this collection. I think this is a great spring release! Let's take a look...
All swatches were done with CND Stickey base coat and no top coat, unless otherwise noted.
First up is Zoya Brooklyn, described by Zoya as a full-coverage white-gold shimmer metallic. This is prettier on the nail than I thought it would be when I saw the bottle. This is two coats and I am already thinking this will be a fun base for nail art!
Zoya Cole is a full-coverage peach whisper cream that was originally released as part of Peter Som's SS14 Collection at New York Fashion Week. This peachy shade is definitely "in" for spring! This is three coats. It had a typically streaky pastel formula but evened out quite well.
Zoya Dillon! Ahhhh love. This is a full-coverage green mint metallic with silver shimmer. I LOVE this! Perfect spring shade with that classic Zoya glass fleck formula. I've used three coats for the swatch because I was seeing a bit of visible nail line under the lights for my photos, but two coats would be fine in real life!
Zoya Dot is a full-coverage pink petal cream that was originally released for Zang Toi's SS14 NYFW show. While this soft pink isn't necessarily super original, it is pretty. This three coats, but with careful application you could get away with two.
Another new obsession: Zoya Hudson! This is a full-coverage purple orchid metallic with a silver shimmer. This is so outstanding...probably my favorite "radiant orchid" shade that has been released so far in 2014! Similar to Dillon, this is three coats for the swatch, but two coats would be fine in real life.
Finally, we have Zoya Monet, a glitter topper that has been released along side the Awaken Collection. The iridescent hex glitters in this polish are not terribly new to those of you who have indie polish collections, but they are pretty. I thought this was a bit thick, but the glitter pay off was good. This is one coat over Zoya Dot with Out the Door top coat.
Overall, I am LOVING Awaken! The three glass fleck shades are pure perfection (how many times did I say perfect in this post?!) and the others are great for spring too. I could live without Monet, but it does accent these shades beautifully. The Zoya Awaken Collection and Monet are available to order now on zoya.com for $9 each!
