Hello friends! I am really excited to share some beautiful Shimmer swatches with you today! When I was contacted by Cindy, I was honored to review this tried and true brand! Her polishes are unique and gorgeous! Today I have Shimmer Elsa, Eva, Nichole, Jasmine, and Cristina to share!
First up is Shimmer Elsa. This is red, blue and gold glitters and microglitter in a slightly pink base. I have layered one coat over OPI My Very First Knockwurst, and you can see the pigmentation of the base over the light OPI. I finished this swatch off with NYC top coat. These three colors together seem very rich to me! You could definitely use two or three coats for more of a glitter bomb effect!
Shimmer Eva is a glitter polish that can be worn on its own without layering. This is a cranberry red jelly base packed with glitters. This is two easy coats with top coat. I wore this for a few days and had little-to-no tip wear! Phenomenal =)
Next we have Shimmer Nichole, patriotism in a bottle! This is a variety of red, blue, and silver glitters in a clear base. Here I have layered one coat over Julep Annie with NYC top coat. You could layer this over white, silver, red, navy...perfect for any patriotic holiday. Super sparkly and beautiful! And again, you could use more coats for more sparkle!
This is one coat of Shimmer Jasmine over Essie Where's My Chauffeur? and I think this is a great layering combo! Jasmine is turquoise glitter with a few multicolored glitters in a clear base, and when layered over this bright turquoise, it definitely has a beachy, mermaid feel! I think it could have a different feel depending on what you layered it over! As this is only one coat, it has great coverage and could be built up to higher opacity if wanted!
Finally, we have Shimmer Cristina. This is three coats plus Gelous top coat. Dark teal and pink glitters in a clear base. It builds up quite well, as you can see here! This was sparkly and stunning on!! =) Probably top coat hungry though.
The formula on these polishes was superb! So easy to work with. It is evident that Cindy really knows what she's doing! These shades really took me back to how indie polish started out...unique glitter combinations, great formula, and awesome customer service! Shimmer Polish can be purchased at Cindy's etsy store [here] for $12 a bottle. You can also check out Shimmer's blog [here] and Facebook [here]!
