Nicole by OPI Selena Gomez Collection Glitters: Swatches and Review!

Good morning friends!  Today I have the second installment of the Nicole by OPI Selena Gomez Collection: the much anticipated glitters!  There's a wide variety of shades here, so there's something for everyone!  Let's take a look, shall we? =)

As I said in my post yesterday, I really don't mind the Nicole by OPI bottle or brush after using it a lot with this collection.  The wide brush is really great for these glitter polishes because you get awesome coverage!  The formula on all of these was really good as far as glitters go.  The glitters spread out nicely on the nail without much work.  Heavenly Angel was a bit sparse, but other than that they all went on like butter!  All swatches here are layered over polishes from the Selena Gomez Collection and finished off with a layer of NYC top coat.

NOPI Confetti Fun is a multicolored glitter in a clear base with a bold shimmer!  The shimmer in the base makes it stand apart from some of the other multicolored glitters in my stash.  At first, I thought that this was just going to be another rainbow glitter, but it has something a little more special.  This is one thick coat of Confetti Fun layered over NOPI Naturally with top coat.

NOPI Heavenly Angel is a thick irridescent flake glitter in a clear base.  It looks super cool in the bottle, but is sort of strange on the nail, in my opinion.  The glitter is not very flexible and the larger pieces stick up off the nail.  The formula of the base was nice, but the glitter itself is very sparse.  This is two coats over NOPI Pretty In Plum with top coat.  To wear this long term, you'd need a thick top coat so that the glitters don't stick up.  This would be fun layered over black!

NOPI Inner Sparkle is a gorgeous glitter mix!  At first glance I thought it was just a rose pink glitter mix, but really there are soft pink and lavender hexes and silver micro glitter in a clear base.  Gorgeous and soft and girly!  Nice and easy formula.  This is one coat layered over NOPI Spring Break with top coat.

Next up is NOPI Kissed At Midnight!  I really like this one!  Again, I was surprised by the complexity of this one because at first glance it just looked like gold glitter.  However, there are gold and silver hexes and micro glitters in a clear base!  I think this would be gorgeous on New Years Eve or for the holidays, even though this one isn't released until January!  This is two coats over NOPI Scarlett with top coat.

NOPI Mi Fantasia is sort of the weird one of the bunch in my opinion, but to be fair, yellow may not have been the best shade for layering.  This is blue, teal and holo micro glitter and irridescent mini bar glitters in a clear base.  The bar glitter is weird, and over yellow it sort of looked hairy!  I'm not anti-bar-glitter, but I just wasn't crazy about this one.  I'd like to try layering it over a dark blue (and I'll update this post if I do!).  This is one coat of Mi Fantasia over NOPI Hit The Lights with top coat.

NOPI Stars At Night is a very pretty polish made up of small holographic silver bar glitter in a clear base.  This is extremely similar to Zoya Electra.  I love how small the bar glitter is...it makes it so much easier to work with!  This is one coat over NOPI Selena with top coat.

Finally, we have NOPI Sweet Dreams, and I love it!  This is teal, lavender and silver hex and micro glitters in a clear base!  I love the blue and purple together!  The formula was great; thick with glitter but easy to work with.  This is one coat over NOPI Love Song with top coat.

I think my favorites from this collection are Sweet Dreams, Inner Sparkle and Kissed At Midnight!  Really, it's difficult to choose favorites here, because they are all quite nice!  When I look at this collection as a whole, I think it is great for spring, and I also can see it really getting younger girls into polish!  That may be an odd thing to include in a review, but if I was a 10-13 year old girl walking through the drug store with my mom and I saw this pink, purple and glittery collection, I would be in love!  Heck, I'm 25 and I'm in love!  But I love this collection for that reason...it will be really appealing to recruit new lacquerheads!  =)

  1. They're very pretty, but none of them scream out to me to buy them. I feel like I have a dupe for all of them. Great swatches, and as always, wonderful post!

  2. All of these are really pretty! The only one I don't like so much is the bar glitter >.<
