Holiday Nail Art: Snowflakes!

Hello lacquered loves!  Today I have another installment of my Holiday Nail Art Series for you!  This is a fun, bright glittery snowflake look featuring a shade from the Essie Winter 2012 Collection!  I'm hoping for a white Christmas here in northeast Ohio...

On a sad note, I just wanted to acknowledge the tragedy that took place in Connecticut, USA last week.  There are no words to describe how upsetting and sad this event is, and I want to send my thoughts and love to the families affected and the entire community.  I know some blogs are doing themed manicures and days of silence, and though I may not be able to participate in those, I wanted to acknowledge it.  As we move forward through the holiday season, let's all remember what is really important...on to the manicure...

The base of this mani is Essie Butler Please, a vibrant blue.  I applied one coat of Aphrodite Lacquers The Icing On The Cake over Butler Please to add a touch of softness and dimension.  Using It's So Easy StripeRite in white, I made the snowflakes.  I went with simple flakes on all my nails and a more detailed, larger flake on my accent nail.  Using Milani White On The Spot, I added a few dots.  Once everything was dry, I used a coat of Northern Lights Silver to add some sparkle and finished with NYC.  It seems like a lot of layers when I type it out like that, but it really didn't take long and the combination created quite a nice look!

I feel like this manicure has a lot of depth with The Icing On The Cake, the free-hand nail art, and the holo sparkle from the Northern Lights!  Not much snow thus far in northeast Ohio, but this manicure made me excited for some winter weather (I'll probably regret saying that!)!  Do you like winter weather?  How do you feel about this bright, sparkly mani?  =)

  1. What a beautiful snowfall you've made on your nails!
