When you get your studs in the mail, they come in a nice resealable baggie that provides for easy storage. I was surprised by just how many studs come in the set...LOTS! For $5.73, it's definitely more studs than I will use in a long time! I decided to use the studs as accent pieces on a fun holographic manicure with a holiday twist, so this manicure is also part of my Holiday Nail Art Series.
I started off with a manicure in BB Couture Under the Mistletoe. I waited until it was completely dry so I wouldn't smudge it while applying the studs. I applied a thick layer of top coat (I used NYC here) and then used a set of tweezers to place the studs where I wanted them! Easier than I expected! I didn't for these pictures, but you should probably seal the studs in with top coat. On my accent nail I did a triangle shape...an abstract Christmas tree!! I'm pretty sure that if I wore this manicure long term, I would want to pick the studs off, but I think that the look is awesome! Definitely an easy way to spice up an old manicure or add something a little special.

ReplyDeleteYou can tell I'm a real geek, because my very first thought was "KLINGON NAIL POLISH!" & then I thought, "Or, Japanese lamellar armor...."
