Priti NYC Hollywood Vixen Collection: Swatches and Review

Happy Black Friday everyone!  I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving yesterday if you celebrate!  I will not be participating in Black Friday madness...it's just not my thing.  I'm actually working at the spa all day today, and I'm in a wedding tomorrow, so there's lots of preparations to be made!!  =)  Whatever you do today, I hope you have fun!

I am really excited to share this new collection with you all!  Priti NYC has quickly become one of my favorite brands...I am obsessed with their creme polishes!  This collection gave me a chance to experience some of their other finishes!  I've had this in my hands for a while now and now that the collection is available I can share it with you: the Priti NYC Hollywood Vixen Collection for Holiday 2012!  This four piece collection is sassy and sultry and I think you'll all love it!

First up we have Priti NYC Tuscany Superb, an oxblood/burgundy jelly.  It is a really nicely pigmented jelly and was easy to work with.  This shade is so sexy!  Love it!  This is two coats with no top coat...check out that shine!

Priti NYC Brussels Lace is a basic silver metallic.  Sadly, I was disappointed by this polish.  It had a thin formula and was super brushstroke-y.  It shows every imperfection.  I feel like I would have loved to see a silver foil, more similar to a Zoya Trixie or butter LONDON Diamond Geezer, especially for the $13.50 price tag.  It is a nice toned-down shade of silver though, so if you're into that and like frosty finishes, you may like this one.  This is three coats and top coat.  I appologize for the smudge on my middle finger...I didn't notice it until I saw the pictures on the screen....darn macro mode captures everything!!  :-p

Next we have Priti NYC Mulberry Jam and this is anything but a disappointment!  Mulberry Jam is a gorgeous magenta microglitter in a clear base.  Here I have layered one coat of it over Tuscany Superb!  I was going to build it up to opacity on its own, but when I saw it like this, I thought Nope, this is how everyone should wear this shade because it is GORGEOUS!  These two polishes were made for each other!  I adored this combo and I think I'll be wearing it again very soon!!  In my opinion though, probably three coats of Mulberry Jam on its own would be pretty close to opaque.  The formula was super easy...the glitter just glides right on!

Finally, we have the star of the show, Priti NYC Black Moon Pansies!  This is a black jelly base filled with small silver glitters and gold microglitter.  It is awesome!  The formula is a little tricky, but if you let it dry between coats and apply it very thinly, you shouldn't have a problem.  Here I've used two coats and NYC top coat.  While it is definitely unique in my collection, someone did point out to me that it is just about identical to Pomegranate Nail Polish Curator.  I'm wearing it as a full manicure while I type this and I love it...sassy and sparkly and dramatic!  =)

So there you have it!  Overall, I am loving this collection!  I'm a bit disapointed by Brussels Lace, but the other three shades more than make up for it!  I can now report that, in addition to their cremes, I love Priti NYC's glitters!  I think this collection is distinctly holiday and a bit more mature than your traditional red, greens, and golds.  I think it will also transition nicely into 2013!  The Hollywood Vixen Collection is available NOW at pritinyc.com!  You can purchase it as a four piece kit [here] for $39.99 or each polish individually [here] for $13.50 each.  For Black Moon Pansies, Mulberry Jam, and Tuscany Superb, I think it's definitely worth the price!!
