Priti NYC Fiesta Mexicana Resort 2012 Collection: Swatches and Review!

Hi everyone!  I hope you all had a great weekend =)  Today I have a new Resort Collection to share with you from Priti NYC!  If you read my blog regularly, you know that I loved the last Priti NYC Collection I reviewed (the Summer in Arizona Collection), and used the polishes regularly in nail art manicures!  This fun collection is the Fiesta Mexicana Resort Collection and it is made up of four bright creme polishes that make me want to take a vacation to somewhere warmer and sunnier than Northeast Ohio in November!  Overall, I love these...the formula on Priti NYC polishes has yet to disappoint me and all of these shades are classics!

According to my research, "resort" collections usually fill the gap between fall and winter, or spring and summer, and were originally targeted towards wealthy people who would be taking a vacation or holiday to a different, warmer climate!  So oftentimes, the collections, even though released in late fall, would include light summery clothes appropriate for a cruise or travels to warmer places.  While some really high end designers still do this, many lines take this as an opportunity to release another collection full of clothes or accessories appropriate for all seasons or the upcoming season.  I love that Priti NYC has stuck with the Resort Collection's roots and released a whimsical four-piece collection inspired by warm and sunny Mexico!  "Live in the sunshine, swim the sea, drink the wild air..." ...Who says we can't live like that 365 days a year, even in a seasonal location!

Before I get into the swatches, I want to say that the formula on all of these was AMAZING.  They pretty much apply themselves.  The polish isn't too thick, isn't too thin.  It stays right where you put it.  And the brush on these polishes is really nice.  It's not as thick as an OPI brush, but not as thin as a China Glaze.  It's perfect.  All of these swatches are base coat, two coats of polish, and Out the Door top coat.

First up we have Priti NYC Nice Gal Peony, a bright pink creme.  This is a classic shade!  Sort of a blue-leaning pink, and in some lights it looks like a girly bubble gum pink.  A must-have basic shade for every polish collection.  Heck, even if you don't have a collection, you probably want/need a pink like this!

Priti NYC Pincushion Protea is a pinkish coral creme, again with a phenomenal formula!  I've always been on the search for a coral polish that isn't too orange or too pink, and I think this one may be just about right!  It sort of gives me a "lobster fingers" look because my summer tan has faded, but it's still really gorgeous!

Next up is Priti NYC Bells of Ireland, a soft sage green creme.  Again, great formula!  I really like this one, as you all know blues and greens are my fav!  But as soon as I saw it, it reminded me of Essie Navigate Her.  More on that later!

I saved my favorite for last!  This is Priti NYC Canterbury Bells, a bright vibrant blue creme.  This is two coats, but definitely could have been a one coater.  The pigmentation of this polish just has me blown away!  I love it!!  It is very similar to butter LONDON Blagger, which I have been known to say is my favorite polish ever, so add to it a one-coat formula, and you know I'm sold!

Obviously, I have nothing but praises for these polishes and the Priti NYC formula!  My only complaint would be that these shades are not super unique.  Just off the top of my head, I pulled out a few polishes that reminded me an awful lot of these and did some bottle comparisons....

Priti NYC Canterbury Bells, butter LONDON Blagger, Priti NYC Nice Gal Peony, OPI Strawberry Margarita, Priti NYC Bells of Ireland, Essie Navigate Her
So even if these shades aren't 100% unique, they are classic shades that I love to wear, and the formula makes them complete wins for me.  At $13.50 a piece, Priti NYC polishes are a little more on the high-end side of things, but if I could afford to, I would stock my collection up with their creme polishes.  They are delightful to work with and are just flawless.  I love the bottle, the brush, the formula, pigmentation...as well as the company's amazing mission to make eco-friendly healthy nail care products!

Priti NYC polishes are big-3 free, completely non-toxic, cruelty-free, vegan, and pregnancy-safe!  They are available for $13.50 on the Priti NYC [website] and the Fiesta Mexican Collection is available NOW.  Personally, for the quality of product and the care that the company puts into each and every bottle, I really think these polishes are worth that price!  Once I save up a bit of money, I have my eye on their Yacht Week in Croatia Collection (Fall 2012) and a few other shades!!  Are you planning on picking up any of these shades?  What's your fav Priti NYC polish? =)
