Julep Maven Bombshell Box for September 2012!

Hello lacquered loves!  Today I have my Julep Maven BOMBSHELL box for September 2012.  I did some fun nail art with the Trina Turk lacquer shades in the box!  I like this fashion collaboration, and I loved the polishes.  I may be partial to cremes, but I was way more impressed with my box this month than the last few I've received!  To see more details about the box, and more about this nail art mani, click the Read More link below!  AND there are some awesome discount codes below as well!!

I loved the color scheme of the packaging this month!  Bright and bold colors!  The Maven boxes this month were a collaboration with designer Trina Turk.  The polish colors were bold and fun and cremes!  (I swear Julep does cremes really well...it's their frosty shimmers that turn me off, like last month...)!  

Love the polka dots and blue and green!  =)  In this photo you can see the American Beauty Volumizing Mascara.  I won't be reviewing that here, but I'm excited to try it out...I have the shortest little eye lashes, so I love my mascara!

The little extra this month is a Trina Turk fashion sketch, and it's a magnet!  I stuck it to the side of my Helmer.

The Bombshell box included two Trina Turk & Julep polish shades: Julep Annie, a bright blue creme, and Julep Alma, a dirty yellow creme.  I love them both.  I'll say it again: Julep does awesome creme polishes.  They apply super well and the formula is great...thick, but in a good, creamy way.  Both polishes were fully opaque in two coats, but with careful application you may be able to get away with one.

When I saw these polishes, I thought they'd go great together in a nail art look.  I decided to do some free-hand chevron tips, which can be done with a striping brush, or just with the brush from the bottle!  I did some inverse accent nails, to give it a hip edge!
