Super Feminine: Essie A Cut Above

Good morning, all!  Today, I have a super feminine manicure to show you!  This is two coats of Essie Case Study as the base color with Essie A Cut Above on top.  I used about 1.5 coats (one full coat and then filled in with a few "blobs" of glitter) to achieve this look.  One coat of NYC smoothed the glitter out beautifully.  The Essie Luxeffects polishes are quite impressive...they are easy to use and do have a great payoff!

This was a pretty look that was super simple to pull off, and got a lot of complements! =) Do you have any of the Luxeffects polishes?  What's your favorite? =)

  1. I have As Gold As It Gets from the Luxeffects and I have to say it is one of my favorite glitters in my collection. It gives a great amount per brush stroke, I don't have to fish for anything, and it's just darn classy looking I think.

  3. Nice mani! I have Shine of the Times and Stroke of Brilliance. I passed on the one you have on because I have a polish similar to it.

  4. I also have A Cut Above and it is a gorgeous addition to neutral manicures! Adds a bit of glitz and glam - very shiny, too!

  5. I have Shine of the Times and recently put it over CG Harvest Moon... it made my nails look like I literally had metal on my nails!

  6. Very pretty. I wouldn't think to use a colour like Case Study as a base for that glitter.
