Revlon Sheer Seafoam

Hi everyone!  Today I have a polish that I am not too crazy about: Revlon Sheer Seafoam from the Summer 2012 Escapism Collection.  In the bottle, it is so dreamy and seafoamy, and I know that it is specifically named as "sheer" but it is really sheer.  This is three thick coats with NYC top coat.

When this polish mixed with the stains on my nails, I thought it made me look like I had some sort of odd nail disease!  HAHA.  Needless to say I did not keep it on long.

I think I am going to try to do a jelly sandwhich with this eventually.  I'm thinking Whimsical would look pretty with it?  What do you think of this sheer shade?

  1. This looks like a franken i did, so as i didnt like it had to add some glittery polish and Ta-da! fixed... on its own its like you say, odd

  2. This is one weird looking polish. Maybe if it was used on top of a nude or white polish it would look better? I dunno, it just looks so watered down!

  3. Eesh I don't like it at all, I think if you used it as a 'top coat' on top of glitter it would give it a cool, squishy look!

  4. Gorgeous in the bottle, awful on the nail! I think the only way it could be used is for layering.

  5. hmmmm, really pretty in the bottle, but not loving it on your nail! lol
With a white base and a jelly sandwich I think it would be beautiful :)

  6. Jelly sandwich, definitely. Or maybe for a teal tint on a creme or shimmer, but not on its own. Ick!

  7. Oh this really does make your nails look like they're horribly stained!

It would probably be cool for a jelly sandwich if you used a more opaque base.

  8. I had teh same hopes for it. In the bottle is looks awesome. On the nails it just looks gross. I can see it working for a jelly sandwich though. Maybe with a blue, teal or white base.

  9. I'd been looking for this on ebay, but no one could tell me exactly how sheer the polish was, so when I came across this at a store clear-out for $4.49, I thought I'd try it. I have extremely pale skin, and it made me look like I'd been frozen. Very similar to yours.Such a shame......
