My Perfect Red!!

Hello!  There hasn't been much red on this blog so far, and that's because I've never found one I really loved...until now!  I've been trying out more and more of the Wet n Wild Wild Shine colors because they are just so affordable (especially when they are on sale for $0.69!).  This is Wet n Wild Wild Shine Red Red!

All of the red polishes I picked up were jellies, and I really just wanted a simple creme.  Red Red fulfills that.  This is two coats with a coat of NYC for top coat.

What's your favorite red polish? =)

  1. Ruby Pumps by China Glaze for a dark red, Ole' Caliente by Essie for an orange-red, and I have a basic red by Sally Hansen that's nice but I haven't worn yet.
I also love Kimmy by Zoya

  2. I haven't found a 'red' that looks good with my skintone AND is a non-glitter finish, yet. I'll definitely have to give the Wet & Wilds a second look. There are two on Zoya that I'm tempted by, and one Julep too - but those are so expensive that I hate to jump in with both feet.

  3. Don't really wear reds in general, but have to say Ruby Pumps or Megan Miller Framboise, a nice jelly.

  4. My perfect creme red is OPI "Vodka & Caviar" ♥

  5. Straight red creme (at least I think it's a cream) Chanel Pirate. Won't bore you with the deviations when comes to dark or glittery reds:)

  6. W&W has really great basic colors. I have all of them as the "bones" to my stash, haha! I even use their clear as a topcoat, and it works just as well as the more expensive topcoats I've tried.

The cremes are two-coaters, the shimmers aren't heavily brushstrokey, the glitters go on evenly without fussing. I just wish they had more options!

All in all one of my favorite brands, and you can't beat the price.

  7. I love Love LOVE my WnW basics. That said, I had a ton of staining on my skin when I tried to remove Red Red (using both acetone and non-acetone remover). It came off after a little scrubbing, so all in all a small price to pay for a perfect basic red.

  9. I picked this one up too for 69cents! It's good, but not very bright. I liked it, but not my perfect red. It does look like it would fit many skintones.

  10. I have yet to still find a nice red that really suits me, I have plenty of vampies but not a nice classic red, the nearest I have that goes with my skin is All Fired Up by Revlon, but I've only ever worn once!

  11. My favorite red is Crushed Berries by Cover Girl - Endless Color live that I bought about 8 years ago. I haven't worn it in a long time, but it has the perfect amount of shimmer.

  12. This was the red that got me hooked on reds! I still like more of a creme red than a shimmer or glitter, but I'm currently wearing red holo and flakies!

  13. My fave is Rescue Beauty Lounge Bangin'. Pricey, but their polishes are worth every penny!
