Hi everyone, and welcome to DAY 3 of the BLACK AND WHITE NAIL ART CHALLENGE! Again, the Day 2 nails really impressed me, but I am so excited for Day 3 because we get to add some color! Today's challenge is "black base with color." I love black with brights, so I had tons of ideas floating around in my head for what I could do! I have been wanting to try out "frame" nails, with a dotty twist!
I used Wet N Wild Wild Shine Black Creme for my base (two coats), and used Julep Niecy, China Glaze Aquadelic, China Glaze Celtic Sun, Wet N Wild Wild Shine Blazed, and Color Club Mrs. Robinson for my dots! To make the colors really stand out against the black, I did all the dots in white first and then went over them with the colored polishes.
I can't get enough of this look...I felt there were flashing neon lights lining my nails! I had just filed and shaped my nails, and the "frames" helped show off my new shorter square nails!
Go check out the other blogs participating in this challenge! The Sexy6! <3 These ladies are such amazing and inspirational nail artists...I love seeing what they come up with!

ReplyDeleteI love it! So cute! They look like those old marquees they had at theaters!
ReplyDeleteReally loving this one - looks classy - yet something I could do! Reminds me of those dot candies that were on the rolls of paper - I think they still sell them but not the same as when I was a kid and there were candy stores that sold penny candy!
ReplyDeleteLove the bright dots against the black background. Very nice. :)
